Halal doesn't begin with the slaughter

Many people associate the word halal exclusively with the method of slaughter. However, there is actually much more to halal than just a single process. It's about awareness, responsibility, and how food is generally handled.

Especially when it comes to meat, quality begins long before a product is even processed. Origin, animal welfare, handling of the animal, fresh processing, and conscious consumption play a much larger role than many initially think.

That's why today, even people who are not religious themselves are interested in halal meat. Not because of a trend, but because topics like transparency, clear origin, and conscious meat consumption are generally becoming increasingly important. Many want to be able to trace where products come from and how they were processed again.

At Reinweide, we therefore see halal not just as a term on a package. For us, it also includes a conscious approach to quality, freshness, and processing. Our products are delivered fresh and chilled and come from Austria with a focus on traceable origin and careful processing.

At the same time, it's not about dictating to people how they should eat. Everyone decides for themselves what they value when shopping. However, we are increasingly noticing that many people have similar expectations, regardless of whether they shop halal or not. Good quality, honest products, and transparent origin are becoming more important for an increasing number of consumers.

In the end, most people simply want to buy food that they feel good about. That's where conscious meat consumption begins for us, and that's also where halal begins for many people today.
